On behalf of Indonesian Palm Oil Association, I am pleased to invite our esteemed colleagues in palm oil and related industry to our great annual event – the 7th INDONESIAN PALM OIL CONFERENCE AND 2012 PRICE OUTLOOK, which will be held in Bali on 1-2 December 2011.

This conference will be an exciting time for the stakeholders to obtain the most update information in palm oil industry and its development as well as a great opportunity to expand their network. Furthermore, this event will present top speakers who are expert in their field in regards to palm oil industry.

Our theme for this year conference is Sustainable Palm Oil: Driver of Change. The conference will cover the latest development in oil palm cultivation specifically in its relation to climate change, the supply and demand of palm oil in various regions, short term and long term price forecasting, as well as the market trends for following year.

Another interesting conference agenda would be the analyses on the implementation of the Indonesian government policies on sustainable palm oil development. Nowadays climate change becomes hot issues amongst agriculture industry. Many elements of society are very concern on the impact of land cultivation to the climate change. In this conference we will also bring up this issue, so we will have better understanding.

In order to have a fruitful conference, we have invited an array of distinguished speakers to share their wisdom and ideas on the relevant matters. I do hope that this event will provide added values in developing and shaping the palm oil industry in the future. It is my privilege to welcome you to the 7th INDONESIAN PALM OIL CONFERENCE AND 2012 PRICE OUTLOOK at Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali, from 1-2 December 2011, which is organized by the Indonesian Palm Oil Association. This conference has become one of the most important events in the world’s palm oil industry with last year attendance of more than 1,000 delegates. This year we are committed to organize a better, more attractive, and informative conference, which at the end will provide added values to all stakeholders in the industry.

Sustainable Palm Oil: Driver of Change is the theme of this year conference. The conference will be divided into several sessions. The first day sessions will discuss about climate change, food security, and palm oil technology development. While the second day sessions will focus on palm oil and lauric oil supply and demand from various regions in the world, the trend of agriculture products, the future market for vegetable oil, and short term and long term market as well as price outlook of palm oil and lauric oil. The conference will present the keynote speech by the President of Indonesia and other top level government officials will also address the latest issues of palm oil industry.

In addition to the conference programme, we will also arrange a complimentary social and business gathering in the form of golf tournament. Delegates will also be able to enjoy the culture and sights of “Island of Gods” with many interesting local excursions to suit your interests. Once again, on behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to extend my invitation to participate in the conference.
